Frequently Asked Questions

When should I start shopping for my wedding dress?

In general, 18 months to 9 months before your wedding is an ideal time to start shopping for your dress. Our dresses are ordered specifically for you from the designers and can often take 6 months or more to be delivered, considering the designers lead times and allowing for alterations. One of the most important things to consider when deciding when to start trying on dresses is to make sure you are ready to buy as you never know how long a dress will be around!

How much does a wedding dress cost?

Our dresses range from £795 up to £2395

A 50% deposit is required when you place your order with the remainder due when you pick up your dress

What does a bridal fitting appointment entail?

When you arrive at our boutique, we will of course welcome you and your guests with a glass of bubbly to kick things off. We will then discuss with you the details of your dream dress and invite you for a browse of our rails before helping to guide you through trying on a selection of different dresses until you find 'the one'. Then celebrate your 'YES' moment with a toast and a photo against our iconic 'YES' wall.

How do alterations work?

When you purchase a dress, we will measure you and order the dress that best suits your size. In most cases, the dress will need a level of alteration to make it the perfect fit for you or to tailor it to your specific and bespoke style. We use local recommended seamstresses who will arrange to meet you in the shop to help perfect your dream dress.

You are, of course also welcome to organise your own alterations should you wish to

What size dresses do you stock?

The majority of our dresses are available to order from a size 4 to a size 32.

For fittings, our sample dress stock ranges from a size 8 to a size 22 so although not every dress will be available in your size, we can use clips/pins etc. to get you into the dresses and help you visualise what the dress will look like in whatever your size

I have seen a wedding dress I like from one of your designers, can I try it on?

Our sample dresses have been handpicked by us and so we only stock a specific selection of dresses from each of our designers. However, with notice, we can source any dress from our designers for you to try. Please contact us if there is a specific dress you would like to try during your fitting

How many people can I bring to an appointment?

Whilst we recommend that 2/3 guests is the ideal number of people to bring to a fitting appointment, you are of course welcome to bring more. If you are planning to bring more than 4 guests, please let us know at the time of booking, prior to your visiting to ensure we are ready to accommodate a larger number of guests

When should I start shopping for a prom dress?

Our prom dresses are available to buy from November through to the end of May but to ensure the best choice and good availability of local seamstresses we recommend shopping for your prom dress earlier - around 4-6 months prior to the big event!

How much does a prom dress cost?

Our prom dresses range from £285 up to £575

A 50% deposit is required when you place your order with the remainder due when you pick up your dress
